Wondering what Club Penguin is? I was wondering too when I kept hearing kids talk about Club Penguin and asking me for Club Penguin coloring pages, the kids gladly explained to me what it is but I also did some research myself to get to the bottom of it.

Club Penguin is a Disney owned online game for kids, just as the name of the game implies, the characters of the game are penguins and the players (the kids) can make the penguins move around by waddling, they can play mini-games and they can chat.

The game is free to play, the child would just need to register for a free account, they do have the option of purchasing a membership which will give the player of the game additional benefits.

Disney purchased Club Penguin for 700 million dollars, and it has more than 700,000 members that pay for a subscription, the site has more than 12 million users, mostly in the US and Canada. My guess is if you have not heard of this site, you will soon from your kids as the kids love talking about it with each other!

Club Penguin is geared towards kids six to fourteen years of age and the game received the Editors Choice award from Children's Technology Review Magazine and the Better Business Bureau-Kid's Privacy Seal of Approval, according to its website.
